New floods in Serbia 2016

For heavy rainfalls and spillages of watercourses in three cities and 14 municipalities of Serbia an emergency situation has been declared on the national level. For now 710 households have been flooded, while 171 persons have been evacuated. In 24 hours around 30 liters of rain per square meter has fallen, but most of the watercourses are stagnating and the rain is still continuing to fall.
Right after the new floods have started the staff of Caritas Belgrade Archbishopric has made field visits, in order to assess the damage, talk to the flooded families and to the representatives of local authorities.
Caritas wants to help those affected by this natural disaster. You can help us achieve this by making a donation to the bank account 11-305-0000296.9
