SOCIETIES – Support Of CSOs In Empowering Technical skills, Inclusion of people with disabilities and EU standards in South East Europe – 2nd phase After the successful implementation of the first phase of the SOCIETIES project (2016-2019), Caritas Serbia and its partners have begun implementing the second phase of the project.

Project objective:

To enhance the capacities and expertise of civil society organizations (CSOs) in the area of social inclusion of people with disabilities and the deinstitutionalization process, so that they can influence decision-making processes and improve social policies through participation in public dialogue.

Specific objectives:

To increase the capacities, accountability, and effectiveness of CSOs in managing social inclusion and deinstitutionalization initiatives, as well as promoting and advocating for social inclusion of people with disabilities in line with European Union standards. To promote a favorable environment for the implementation of civil society activities by establishing sustainable structures and mechanisms for collaboration and dialogue between CSOs and the public sector.

Expected results:

Civil society organizations of people with disabilities are empowered. The effectiveness of civil society initiatives for social inclusion is increased. The quality and effectiveness of dialogue on social policies between civil society organizations and authorities are improved. The public perception of the contribution of CSOs in promoting social inclusion processes is increased.
