ACTIVE – Accessible Communication Toward Inclusion of Vulnerable and Excluded persons on Western Balkans (Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo*)
The project aims to develop the concept of inclusive and accessible communication in the Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo*, and Serbia). The project partners belong to the Caritas network and have worked together on various projects, sharing common values, mission, and strategies. The Caritas network is one of the most active in the field of social inclusion of vulnerable groups and experienced in implementing actions to improve the situation of persons with disabilities through promoting social economy and empowering civil society organizations.
Overall objective: Contribute to the empowerment and inclusion of vulnerable persons in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, and Serbia.
Expected results:
- 10,000 vulnerable and socially excluded persons have barrier-free access to relevant information and can use it to meet their needs (legal information, health issues, information on access to social services, and others).
- Increased capacity of organizations of persons with disabilities, local organizations, and public service providers to support the participation and independent decision-making of socially excluded persons.
